Otkritie Bank came to this conclusion after polling 1,000 citizens of the Russian Federation. The survey was conducted in cities with a population of more than 100,000 inhabitants. The list of respondents included people from 18 to 65 years old. Although Russians have started massively to come out of the “cryptocurrency” shadow, 6% of respondents still have no idea what a digital currency is.

If according to polls of Skolkovo sepiolites the new form of money is ready to be used by more than half of the respondents, the current data shows a decrease in this figure to 46%. And people were only in favor of a partial substitution of the usual means of payment. Only 14% allowed a complete switch to digital assets in 10 years.

42% of Russians were in favor of keeping the current forms of currencies along with the introduction of new ones. In their opinion, this way citizens will have a choice of what to use in everyday life. However, the vast majority are confident that cash will still be in use in 10 years.
